BOSTON YOUTH EXPO: Summer Jobs 2018, College Access Resources, Workshops | 10.7.17

On behalf of the City of Boston, Mayor Martin J. Walsh, District 4 City Councilor Andrea J. Campbell and At-Large City Councilors Annissa Essaibi-George, Ayanna Pressley and Council President Michelle Wu, they would like to extend to you the opportunity to participate in the City of Boston Youth EXPO on Saturday, October 7, 2017.
For Mayor Walsh and the Boston City Council, youth development is a top priority. The Youth Expo will model a resource fair and will include a variety of career opportunities, workshops, and educational resources for youth ranging from age 16 to 21 years old. This Expo seeks to showcase organizations that offer part-time/ full-time job opportunities for youth, information on summer jobs for 2018, college access resources, and workshops, including resume and cover letter writing. We would love your agency's support and partnership in promoting more opportunities for Boston’s youth.
We invite you and your organization to join us at this event, host a table, and use this opportunity to engage young people with your programming. The Youth Expo will be in Dorchester at The Boys and Girls Club at 15 Talbot Avenue on Saturday, October 7, 2017. The event will run from 10am-2pm, but we are asking agencies to arrive around 8 AM for set up. Youth development programs and agencies like yours are essential to ensuring that Boston’s youth are well educated, civically engaged, healthy, confident, and productive members of a culturally diverse society.
If you are able to participate, or if you need more information, please reach out to:
Juwan Skeens, Neighborhood Liaison for District 4 City Councilor Andrea J. Campbell, 617-635-4378
